Dunedin Cares would like to thank each and every one of the participants in Dunedin Cares’ inaugural “Peanut Butter & Jelly Challenge”. Every box of cereal, jar of peanut butter and jelly, can of spaghetti, tuna or chicken will put a meal on the table for a child who otherwise would not have a healthy breakfast or lunch.
We appreciate our communities generosity in meeting the challenge of fighting hunger in our own backyard. It is amazing how individuals, civic groups, churches, businesses, homeowner associations all came together for one special cause.
Please join with us in congratulating the overall winner St. Andrews Presbyterian Church for an OUTSTANDING food drive!
Again, congratulate yourselves for the combined total of food donated during the PB & J Challenge. It totaled:
To help you understand how helpful your donation was, 7,519 lbs of food translates into providing a total of 6,266 meals. This equates to a monthly distribution at the pantry.
Thank you again for your support of the Peanut Butter & Jelly Challenge. You guys are AWESOME!
